KING CARTER

This world we’re living in is so heartless and cruel.
Only six years old.
Why did it have to happen to you?
I didn’t know you personally but I’m a father.
African proverb: It takes a village to raise a child.
So I was your father as well.
The pain struck me deeply.
Young African king gone so prematurely.
Your name and spirit will forever live on KING CARTER.
May this be the start and push needed,
to make our people open their eyes to strive harder.
For peace, love and unity.
Lack of these is the reason tragedies like this,
happen in our communities.
I’m going to be a better me because of you.
I will be the change I want to see in the world.
That’s what I shall continue to do.
You were already an angel and heaven sent.
The creator of it all just loved you too much,
so he called you back home.
And this was evident.

Nice….. You can feel the emotions flowing through out the words. I can feel the effect of this tragedy in your writing, yet it doesn’t feel heavy or depressing, rather it’s inspiring, like a call for action. A call to Fathers and men to play their part in the roles of young men.
