Freedom
In the land where freedom’s bell was cast,
Where dreams were built and shadows passed,
A people rose from chains and strife,
To carve a place, to claim their life.
Through fields of cotton, harsh and wide,
Their voices echoed, filled with pride,
In rhythms born of ancient song,
They fought for right, they fought for long.
From silent nights to marches bold,
Their stories etched in brave and cold,
They sought a future free from fear,
With hope that whispers, loud and clear.
In cities bright and fields so green,
In every heart and every dream,
They shaped a nation, strong and free,
A testament to bravery.
Yet still the journey’s not complete,
For justice waits on every street,
But in their eyes, a fierce resolve,
To lift each other, evolve.
So let their legacy be our guide,
To build a world where none divide,
Where every soul and every face,
Can find their place, can find their grace.
